The Wide Field gallery brings together a collection of images which show a large area of the sky. Often these type of images include constellations, or star trails, but generally fall into the category of images taken with a camera which is not looking through a telescope.
Depending on the effect desired, the camera can be on a tracked mount or on a fixed tripod. These are the type of astrophotography images that anyone can try to take, and with generally good results.
